78th important meeting of the Board of Directors of Punjab Education Foundation was held at its headquarters

LAHORE: The 78th important meeting of the Board of Directors of Punjab Education Foundation was held at its headquarters in Lahore on behalf of Chairman Punjab Education Foundation Sardar Aftab Akbar Khan. Dr. Basit Khan IT Expert, Khalid Sultan from P&E Department, Muhammad Salman from Social Welfare Department, Arif Khan Niazi from Finance Department, Naveed Shehzad Mirza from School Education Department, Noorish Sabah from Literacy Department, Dr. Intezar Hussain from University of Education. While Board Member Barrister Syed Riza Ali and Azma Yousuf Country Director Cambridge Assessment International Education attended the meeting online. MD PF Asad Naeem welcomed all the board members in the meeting and formally started the meeting with recitation from the Holy Quran. During the meeting, various programs of PAF including administrative, financial and educational matters were discussed. Other agendas included approval of the PAF Partners Unified Agreement and regularization of PAF employees.
During the meeting, the MD PFF said that he and the PAF team have had several meetings with the World Bank delegation and the World Bank in its report has termed the PAF Public Private Partnership model as the best model. He said that in the past, all the targets given by the World Bank have been met by PAF in a very efficient manner and more and more out-of-school children have been brought for education in schools. The World Bank has expressed its desire to hire PEF for new entrants over the next five years under the new project Girls Result Agenda for Development of Education Sector (GRADES) in view of PEF’s outstanding performance. Off-school children can be brought into the mainstream of education. In this regard, MD PAF requested the representatives of Planning and Development and Finance Department to give priority to PAF’s education model as it is less costly and more efficient, so that PAF could reach out to the middle and backward classes of Punjab province. To provide quality and better education to the children.
