Lahore (General Reporter) A special symposium on strengthening the links between industry and academia was organized by the School of Pharmacy of the University of Management and Technology (UMT) in which the representatives of the industry and drug regulatory authority took special part. I include Dr. Shoaib Hakeem Masood Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Rizwan Mehmood, Dr. Abdul Rasheed Sheikh Inspector Drug Regulatory Authority, Dr. Ahmed Junaid Rashid Remington Pharmacy, Dr. Khurram Rafiq Ahmed Feroze Sons, Ghazi Mustansar Riaz.
Rector UMT Dr. Asif Raza, Director General UMT Prof. Abid Sherwani, Dean School of Pharmacy Dr. Ijazullah Cheema, faculty and students were also present on this occasion.
Through a panel discussion, experts and researchers shared innovative observations and ideas regarding the strong linkages between academia and industry. He said that the gap between industry and academia will not close until we promote the culture of research.
Other experts appreciated the efforts of the UMT administration for organizing such symposiums.
