PRINCIPAL AMC PROF. ALFREED ZAFAR LAUDED EFFORTS OF SOCIETY

All Pakistan Parliamentary Debate Dameer was held at Ameer Uddin Medical College/PGMI, Lahore, in which teams of 50 institutions from different cities across the country participated. Debating Society of Ameer Uddin Medical College arranged these debates in which social development was specially focused while medical students had the opportunity to speak on important topics such as science, fiction, politics, religion and feminism. Similarly, well-known personalities were included in the jury to ensure quality of results in these debates. In this regard, Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute Prof. Dr. Sardar Muhammad Al-Freed Zafar while expressing happiness over this said that apart from medical education Ameer Uddin Medical College has carried out bright traditions in extra circular activates and Debating Society of AMC is torch bearing in this regard
He congratulated the members of the society and expressed the hope that not only this standard would be maintained but also this Institution would take further steps towards development and success in future.
Members of the Debating Society of AMC thanked the Staff President Prof. Dr. Farooq Afzal and said that due to his patronage the committee organizes important events like parliamentary debates at national level and once again invites medical students from 50 different institutions at a platform. At the end of the parliamentary debate, the host team was congratulated and prizes and certificates of appreciation were distributed among the teams who secured the positions.
According to the details, Haris Tahir, SaadJavedSindhu, Dr. UmairIrfan, Dr. Abdul Rafi, Hamza Abbas, Umar Shafiq, Syed Muhammad Shahkar, Ali Bukhari and ZeeshanDogar in English discussions while Dr. Asadullah Farooq, Dr. Ahmad FarazTarar, and Dr. Alina in Urdu discussions. Saleem, HuzaifaWasim, Abdullah Cheema, RizwanSaleem, Ayesha Areej and ShahzebKhanzada performed their duties. After the narrow competitions, King Edward Medical University won the Urdu Debate, while the AF & AF team emerged victorious in the English Debate and throughout the event, two main points were kept in mind to ensure quality for the debates and to add potential for the participants. Debating Society of Ameer Uddin Medical College played its role well in the managementthis mega event.
