ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan is facing another major challenge after getting a vote of confidence from the House.
According to sources, on the one hand, a long-standing friendship, a reliable minister and on the other hand, a rivalry has started between the key allies. After the Senate elections, the allies are demanding that Prime Minister Imran Khan be given a deputy chairman and more ministries.
Sources said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has once started consulting with his close associates. However, lobbying for the Senate chairman and deputy chairman will be difficult if the allies do not agree. On the other hand, the main opposition party PPP has also started making offers to the ruling coalition.
According to sources, competition has also started between the ruling party and coalition representatives for the ministry. Sources said that newly elected Senator Barrister Ali Zafar wants to be made law minister instead of Forough Naseem while Forough Naseem is not ready for any post other than law ministry.
In addition, the penman of Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Babar Awan is once again in danger. Earlier, he was not given a ticket to the Senate and now he is afraid of losing the post of advisor. Sources said that Barrister Ali Zafar has been offered the post of Parliamentary Affairs Minister which was not accepted by the newly elected Senator.
Sources said that the MQM has once again sought the post of deputy chairman following the demand of the ministry. It is being suggested by the close associates of the Prime Minister that Forough Naseem should be given the post of Deputy Chairman to please everyone. Sources said that Forough Naseem has the confidence of the Prime Minister as the Law Minister and Imran Khan is also satisfied with his performance.
Meanwhile, according to sources, the MQM has received a big offer from the PPP. The MQM has also hinted at quitting the ruling coalition if talks with the government do not take place. The MQM leadership wants to make Faisal Sabzwari Deputy Chairman Senate or MQM quota minister. In this regard, Prime Minister Imran Khan has once again started a long consultation.
