Railway lost Rs 21.55 billion in six months
Lahore: Railways has incurred a loss of over Rs 21.55 billion in the first half of the current financial year (2020-21).
According to sources, the railways will spend Rs 41.81 billion in the first half of the current financial year (2020-21) while the revenue could be only Rs 19.23 billion.
Experts blame the situation on officials who are not interested in their work, the business community and ordinary travelers do not have access to transportation.
In this regard, the CEO of Railways Nisar Ahmed Memon said that the main reason for the decline in revenue is the Corona epidemic.
