Government decides to close educational institutions from 1st to 8th till Eid
ISLAMABAD: The government has decided to keep schools closed from 1st to 8th till Eid and reopen educational institutions from 9th to 12th with strict corona SOPs from tomorrow.
According to media, an emergency meeting of inter-provincial education ministers was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood in which all the education ministers participated through video link. The meeting discussed the resumption of classes in educational institutions.
At the meeting, all the provincial education ministers recommended starting board classes, but NCOC officials said that cases were on the rise and it would be better not to open educational institutions now.
It was decided at the meeting that schools across the country from 1st to 8th would be kept closed till Eid, while educational institutions from 9th to 12th would be reopened with strict Corona SOPs from tomorrow. The meeting decided to conduct O, A level examinations as per the schedule, while it was said that online coverage would continue in the higher rated universities of Corona.
