Lahore (Mudasir Qadir) Contrary to the claims of the health department and the government, the dengue patients are at the mercy of junior doctors, according to details belonging to Mayo Hospital, Sarganga Ram Hospital, Jinnah Hospital, Services Hospital, General Hospital and Specialized Health. Temporary isolation wards have been constructed and beds have been installed for the treatment of dengue patients in major hospitals, but the dengue fever patients coming to these government teaching hospitals are not being checked by senior doctors including professors while their treatment is ongoing. On the other hand, the government is repeatedly claiming that steps have been taken to prevent dengue and provide the best treatment to patients, but the situation is the opposite, dengue tests and Adjunctive drug shortages are common in treatment. Duty rosters of senior doctors have either not been created or are not being implemented to provide better treatment to dengue fever patients. Junior doctors are appointed to treat dengue fever patients in government teaching hospitals.
