New Delhi: An Indian Air Force MiG-21 crashed, killing the pilot.
According to Indian media, an Air Force MiG-21 crashed near Baghpurana area of Punjab at around 1 am, as a result of which the pilot of the plane was also killed on the spot.
A statement issued by the Indian Air Force said that the plane crashed during a training exercise in which pilot Squadron Leader Abhinav Chaudhry was killed while an investigation has been ordered to find out the cause of the accident.
It should be noted that due to lack of standard maintenance, Air Force planes keep crashing in India on a daily basis. Even before this, several planes have crashed while the Indian Prime Minister himself has questioned the performance of MiG-21.
