Rawalpindi: A military parade is being held today in connection with Pakistan Day.
In today’s Pakistan Day parade, troops of the three armed forces and other security forces will take part in the march past, fighter jets will perform stunts in the air, mobile phone service will be closed in certain areas of the twin cities from 5 am to 12 noon. Airspace will remain closed for commercial flights in certain areas of Islamabad, kite flying, aerial firing and pigeon flying will also be completely banned, more than 1000 police personnel will be deployed while in Islamabad and Rawalpindi (today) Thursday. Will have a public holiday.
Sources said that the mobile service within 10 km radius of the parade ground will be closed from 5 am to 12 noon today while standing on the roofs of tall buildings near the parade ground will be completely banned, Armed Forces and police forces Faizabad and Will be deployed in the surrounding areas.
In addition, the city traffic police has issued a special traffic plan for the parade. Heavy traffic will be banned after 12 midnight on March 24.
