ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry has said that the prices of petroleum products in Pakistan are still the lowest in the region.
Criticizing the rise in prices of petroleum products, Fawad Chaudhry said that the prices of petroleum products in Pakistan are still the lowest in the region as compared to the region. Otherwise, of course, we have to buy oil from abroad, so if prices rise in the international market, then petroleum products will be more expensive in Pakistan, the same principle applies to other imports. The real achievement of the government is that the income of 75% of the population has also increased significantly.
The Federal Minister further said that Pakistan’s purchasing power is better than India’s. Income has also increased, the wages of mechanics and laborers have tripled.
It should be noted that the government has increased the price of petrol by Rs 5 per liter after which its new price has gone up to Rs 123.30 per liter, similarly diesel has gone up by Rs 5 per liter to Rs 120 per liter, soil Oil prices have risen by Rs 5.46 per liter to Rs 92.26 per liter and light diesel by Rs 5.92 per liter to Rs 90.69 per liter.
