Retired employees of Radio Pakistan have not yet been issued their pensions for the month of June

Lahore (General Reporter): Retired employees of Radio Pakistan have not yet been issued their pensions for the month of June, due to which these senior citizens are suffering from severe anxiety and restlessness. The pensioners have termed the move by the radio station as illegal and against the orders of the Supreme Court at the end of the financial year and on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. Pensioners say that on the one hand, the government is awarding rewards to employees of more than 50 ministries on the occasion of Eid. Is losing. Radio Pakistan’s pensioners say that in view of inflation, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, in his first address to the National Assembly, had ordered a 10 per cent increase in their monthly pension from April 1 to facilitate pensioners. Immediate implementation notification was also issued and federal departments also started paying their pensioners but retired employees of Radio Pakistan and their families are still deprived of this facility. The pensioners have appealed to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Information and Broadcasting Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, Federal Finance Minister Muftah Ismail and the Federal Cabinet as well as the Chief Justice of Pakistan to protect the elderly pensioners from financial hardship and loss. Take stern notice of this matter and immediately release the monthly pension of Radio Pakistan pensioners and elderly senior citizens and widows and daughters with a 10% increase announced by the Prime Minister of Pakistan and all the responsibilities involved in this legal process. Definitely punish the culprits so that future incidents of disrespect to elderly pensioners are stopped.
