Riyadh: Saudi Arabia lifted the ban on direct flights to six countries, including Pakistan.
According to the International News Agency, Saudi Arabia has further eased travel restrictions imposed to curb the spread of Corona, allowing direct flights from Pakistan, Egypt, Indonesia, India, Brazil and Vietnam. Those arriving from these countries had to be quarantined in another country for 14 days after which the flight was allowed to arrive in Saudi Arabia.
However, now passengers arriving from these countries will be required to submit only PCR negative test and be registered on Qdoom platform 72 hours before departure of their flight. When the corona test has to be done on the first and last day of quarantine, if it is negative then quarantine can be terminated.
Although Saudi Arabia has made travel easier in some places, travel bans have been imposed on some African countries following a case of Omicron, a new variant of the Corona that has surfaced in South Africa.
