Lahore (General Reporter) Secretary Health Punjab, Dr. Ahmed Javed Qazi, has given permission to clean blood banks across the province. Punjab Health Secretary Dr. Ahmed Javed Qazi presided over an important meeting in the Department of Specialized Health Care and Medical Education in this regard. In the meeting, Vice Chancellor King Edward Medical University Professor Dr. Mahmoud Yaz, Vice Chancellor Fatima Jinnah Medical University Professor Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal, former VCFJMU Professor Dr. Amir Zaman Khan, Pakistan Society of Hematology Head Major. General Ras Saleem Vidyafsaran participated. Punjab Health Secretary Dr. Ahmed Javed Qazi reviewed the measures regarding the revamping of blood banks across the province during the meeting. Punjab Health Secretary Dr. Ahmed Javed Qazi said on this occasion that by revamping the blood banks of Punjab, they will ensure safe blood for the treatment of patients. We will improve the working of blood banks through public private partnership. They will not compromise on the standards of cleanliness in blood banks across the province. Pakistan Society of Hematology will be hired to improve blood transfusion services in Punjab. Important steps will be taken to improve the conditions of the blood banks of the government teaching hospitals of Punjab. The head of Pakistan Society of Hematology, Major General R. Saleem, said on this occasion that he will fully cooperate with the Department of Specialized Health Care and Medical Education in improving the blood transfusion services in Punjab.
