Lahore( )Dr. Salman Kazmi, General Secretary, Young Doctors Association of Pakistan, has said that there is no emergency facility in any government hospital except Punjab Institute of Cardiology, Jinnah Hospital and Gulab Devi Hospital for immediate treatment of heart patients. The Young Doctors Association of Pakistan, in collaboration with philanthropists, has donated CPR beds worth Rs. 1.2 million to Mayo Hospital for cardiac emergency. The management of Mayo Hospital has also provided cardiac monitors and other equipment. Has appealed to Health Minister Dr. Yasmeen Rashid and Health Secretary Ahmed Javed Qazi to issue orders to the Cardiology Department, Mayo Hospital to issue duty roster of doctors to work in emergencies. It is not possible to start an emergency unless more medical officers and senior registrars are provided by the primary health department. The young doctors have appealed to the health secretary to form a committee and convene a meeting on the issue. And all the governors of Punjab Emergency should be started for the treatment of heart patients in hospitals so that the rush of patients in Punjab Institute of Cardiology can be reduced and the best treatment can be obtained.
